The tuning in for the second line of inquiry; "Consequence of imbalance within ecosystems", was done through an interaction with Ms. Bhagirathy, a senior school facilitator at Pathways World School. She made the children aware of the fact that humans are responsible for imbalance in the environment in many ways. The actions we take affect life all around us. She also presented information on the forests of Cambodia and how they are loosing their animals due to poaching. It was an informative session for the students and teachers alike.

“Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding.” ― Albert Einstein
At Pathways World School, we celebrated International Day of Peace(21st September) and Gandhi Jayanti(2nd January) from 3rd - 5th October. There were various events planned during the three days. The students from the Primary School prepared a scroll with Peace messages for the UN Peacekeepers who visited the school on 4th October. The UN Peacekeepers will display the scroll at the UN headquarters in India. The Peacekeepers held an interactive session with the students and provided a lot of insights into the working of the UN, specially its role in solving conflicts and maintaining peace around the world. The Middle School planned a sit down lunch for the entire school on 5th October. Also in the Primary School a Giving Tree was set up. The students were asked to bring in a gift worth Rs 50 and place under the tree. These gifts will be given to the village children next month during the festival of Diwali.
